Intercare Day Care Hospital is an excellent hospital in Century City. Went there for an arthroscopy on both knees 2 months ago. The nurses are really humble, kind full of empathy and ready to help. Admin support was exceptional in all matters from the date of admission to discharge. The atmosphere of hospital was fresh, clean and positive. Hospital was well organised and everyone working in the hospital treats its patients with respect and dignity. highly recommend this hospital
I highly recommend this healthcare facility!
Extremely professional, kind, empathetic and a demonstrable culture of inclusivity from all members of staff.
I would give you 10 STARS, had it been an option.
A specific word of appreciation to Zubeida Nazier and Sister Laeeqa Thorne – your humanity transformed our perceived nightmare into a delightful experience!
Kudos! Much love and light!
Went in to have surgery here recently and I have to say, these were some of the nicest nurses I have met, they were very patient with me and kind noting my clear anxiety about the procedure I was having.
We appreciated every staff member that was so professional but also so full of empathy for what the patients and their family were experiencing. It wasn’t just us, I saw the same treatment of every person there. The caring space created by everyone from the Doctors, Nurses, Administration, Cleaning and even Catering staff was a balm to us both and appreciated beyond what words can convey. Thank you.
I would like to first say the ladies at admission and the nurses in the operating theatre were great! They made my husband feel safe and cared for.
The reason for the one-star rating is for the nurse on the floor who got my husband ready for the surgery. (Not with the long hair)
I went up with my husband to the room when he was “checking in,” and at no point did anyone tell me I could not be there so naturally I assumed all was well. I’d wait for him to get in bed, then I would go back to work. Needless to say, this nurse came in and chased me out. She spoke to me as if I knew the rules and had broken them on purpose! I was very polite and apologised to her, telling her that I was not informed and that I just wanted to get his goodies, then I would go to work. Anyhow, I did just that (which was a whole 3 minutes or so). Upon my leaving, the same nurse on the floor told me to wait in the seating area. Again, I told her very politely that there was no need; I was going back to work.
Shortly after my departure, she started to speak to another patient in Zulu (my husband speaks all the South African national languages), talking about how I think this is still apartheid times and I can do what I want.
This is absolutely DISGUSTING!!! If this were done in reverse, I can guarantee there would be hell to pay! This nurse continued to speak about how doctors don’t know what they are talking about when they tell patients to contact them again in 6 weeks for a follow-up and that the patient should go in a few days… I mean, WHAT KIND OF CARE IS THIS????
I am shocked by this behaviour. It is clear that this nurse either dislikes her job or walks around judging people, thinking no one can speak any other language than English and she is free to say what she pleases.
